SEAWALLS
Seawalls are coastal defense structures designed to protect shorelines from erosion and flooding caused by waves and tides. They act as barriers between the land and the sea, absorbing and deflecting wave energy.
Vertical Seawalls: These are constructed from concrete, steel, or other durable materials and are designed to take the full force of incoming waves. While effective, they can reflect wave energy, potentially increasing erosion at the base.
Curved or Stepped Seawalls: These structures are designed to dissipate wave energy more effectively by redirecting it upwards and outwards, reducing the impact on the structure and the shoreline.
Revetments: Sloping structures made from rock, concrete, or geotextile materials that absorb and spread out wave energy, providing more gradual protection against erosion.
CONSTRUCTION STAGES

Design: The design considers factors such as wave height, expected storm surge, and long-term sea-level rise.
Foundation Preparation: A stable foundation is crucial, often requiring deep piling into the seabed.

Construction: Involves heavy machinery and sometimes underwater welding and concreting.
BOAT DOCKS
Boat docks provide secure mooring for boats and access for passengers and goods. They come in various designs to accommodate different types of vessels and water conditions.
Floating Docks: These docks rise and fall with the tide, making them ideal for areas with significant tidal variation. They are anchored by pilings or cables.
Fixed Docks: These are built on pilings driven into the seabed and remain at a constant height above water. They are suitable for areas with minimal tidal changes.
Combination Docks: These incorporate features of both floating and fixed docks to handle varying conditions and user needs.
